Fantastic Book for Business Owners

SCRUM is an excellent book. It helped me re-think the way we approach project/task management in my company. We have not implemented all of the SCRUM methodology because some aspects require more effort than benefit. Nevertheless, we have implemented much of the methodology, mainly focusing on those aspects that help the whole team understand what is happening and what needs to be done. We have focused on team meetings daily with bookending meetings at the start of the week and the end. We have also focused on laying out projects in detail and then monitoring how fast we get things done. We haven't implemented any method for estimating the intensity, or size, of each task, as that seemed to be an additional burden that wouldn't provide any near-term benefit.

Read and Applied with Success.

I'm a personal development and business book consuming freak. This book is my current favorite. The amount of experiences that Jeff Sutherland has packed into his life and in turn, this book, is amazing. I purchased it to learn more about SCRUM. Know that it is not a how-to book on SCRUM. It is the "why" and stories that formed SCRUM.
The result is that I have sense taken the time to add SCRUM to operations of my business. IT department is using and loving it.
I have never been this excited about applying what I've learned in a book. Both I, and my employees, are happy I found this book.
