Not only for coaches! Starting with the authors' personal stories and moving through analysis of the human condition as a whole, this book is packed with inspiration and advice on how to move forward in relationships with others, in life and in work. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in self improvement - it is down to earth, non-pretentious and very, very readable.

The idea behind the book is that we start as a whole, part of One (or God, or the Universe) and our human experience is that we are fragmented, but it is now time for Integration, slowly moving back towards wholeness.

Integration will help you find the words to describe and think about what it means to be part of humanity and part of the universe.

Ms. Betz masterfully brings together ancient and complex,current wisdom in a very understandable way. The book is very elegantly written and straightforward in its approach. Personal experiences are beautifully used to help define key concepts.

About the Author
Dennis R. Howard is a Philip H. Knight Professor of Business at the University of Oregons Lundquist College of Business. He served as Dean of the College from 2008 to 2010. Prior to becoming Dean, he served as Head of the Marketing Department and taught sports business classes at the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center. Dr. Howard has authored or co-authored three books and close to 100 articles on sport and leisure industry topics. His book with John Crompton, Financing Sport, is the first comprehensive textbook on the many traditional and innovative revenue acquisition methods available to sports organizations. He has served as a consultant to the NFL, several major league teams, and a number of intercollegiate athletic departments on facility development projects. Dr. Howard is the founding editor of the International Journal of Sport Finance and has served on the editorial boards of the Sport Marketing Quarterly and the Journal of Sport Management. Since joining the University of Oregon business faculty in 1997, Dr. Howard has received the Undergraduate Teaching Award, the Harry R. Jacobs Distinguished Teaching Award, and the James E. Reinmuth MBA Teaching Excellence Award. In 1998, he received the highest honor awarded by the North American Society for Sport Managementthe Earle F. Zeigler Award for Excellencefor his contributions to the sport industry. Dr. Howard is a graduate of the University of Oregon (BS), University of Illinois (MS), and Oregon State Unive John L. Crompton holds the rank of University Distinguished Professor and is both a Regents Professor and a Presidential Professor for Teaching Excellence at Texas A&M University. He received his basic training in England. His undergraduate work was in physical education and geography at Loughborough College. After teaching high school for a year, he attended the University of Illinois, where he completed a MS degree in Recreation and Park Administration in 1968. In 1970, he was awarded another MS degree from Loughborough University of Technology, majoring in Business Administration. In 1970, he joined Loughborough Recreation Planning Consultants as their first full-time employee. When he left as managing director in 1974, LRPC had developed into the largest consulting firm in the United Kingdom, specializing in recreation and tourism, with a full-time staff of 25 and supplemented by a number of part-time associate consultants. In 1974, Dr. Crompton came to Texas A&M University. He received his doctorate in Recreation Resources Development in 1977. For some years he taught graduate and undergraduate courses in both the Department of Recreation and Parks and the Department of Marketing at Texas A&M University, but he now teaches exclusively in the Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences. Dr. Cromptons primary interests are in the areas of marketing and financing public leisure and tourism services. He is author or co-author of 18 books and a substantial number

Transport your family to Narnia

Having a 7-year old boy who loves The Chronicles of Narnia, this book really caught my eye. He has pored over it, and we have already made two of the recipes: Lucy's Roast Apples and Marmalade Roll. They both turned out very well, and were quite popular with the whole family.
This book has approximately 68 recipes divided into categories such as Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, Dessert, and Drinks.
In my opinion, the mark of a good cookbook is the percentage of recipes that one would actually make. In this cookbook, there is a high percentage of the recipes that I would try.
Each recipe has a bit of commentary from Douglas Gresham, Lewis' stepson, and a quote from one of the books that lists the dish the recipe is for. The commentary is interesting and informative. There is also a foreward written by Gresham. At the end of the book are some menu ideas so that you can have a Narnian dinner party with your friends.

Delicious Food, Wonderful Fantasy

I LOVE the Chronicles of Narnia, even as a "grown-up".So I jumped at the chance to learn how to make foods described in the books.
The book is supposedly aimed at kids. I will say though, that the taste of the foods is really more adult (or English). They taste great, don't get me wrong, but kids (unless they are really excited about the recipies being Narnian) will likely think them wierd. I made the Tea Cakes with Lemon Curd Filling for a friend's kid's Communion Party, and all the adults raved--but the kids wouldn't even go near them. (Incidentally, the Tea Cakes are DELICIOUS. A wonderful treat).
A note of advice, you will need stuff like double boilers and parchment paper for some of the recipies. Plus you will have to make some trips to specialty food stores. However, most of the stuff is middling easy to make.
Overall, this is a wonderful book. I am so glad I have it. The recipies are very tasty, and the book itself provides a wonderful cornicopia of foods and ideas that Americans are not very familiar with.

Delicious, child-friendly recipes

We checked this book out from the library again and again. We loved it. There are seven very 'American' children in our family, and we ate or drank every recipe we tried from this cookbook.
The illustrations and descriptions were delightful. The recipes were tasty and appealing to all literary-minded children who have been permitted or encouraged from babyhood to have adventurous palates.
Several recipes have been oft requested birthday favorites.
Yummy. Wish it were still in print.

Outstanding introductory text useful even to practitioners

Highly recommended even for seasoned IP litigators; although this is a casebook, it has very thoughtful notes reminiscent of Hart & Wechsler's Fed. Courts casebook.

Great Book

This book is wonderful. It has everything you'd ever need to know about the history of patents, USPTO, cases describing everything related to 101, 102, 103, 112 first and second paragraphs as well as litigation and infringement. Everything is well documented and provides a through discussion on how IP became what it is today. This is coming from a non-practicing casual scholar.
